Hello Centerville Mighty Mustangs. I am so proud to be the principal of the very best elementary school in Houston County. I would like to share a little about myself with all of you. I am married to Denny Maddox who is a teacher at Houston County High, and we have two children, Jake and Maggie.
I am a proud product of the Houston County School System where I attended Shirley Hills Elementary, Miller Elementary, Warner Robins Junior High, & Warner Robins High School. I received my Early Childhood Education degree from Mercer University in 1995 and began working at Centerville Elementary. I was a paraprofessional for 1/2 a year, then I taught 1st grade for 5 years, and reading intervention for 3 years. During that time I received my Masters degree and my Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University. After that I was the Assistant Principal for Instruction for 6 years. I was selected as the principal in 2010 and I love coming to work every day! CES is the best!
We are proud to have received the Georgia School of Excellence Award three different times. We strive to continue this tradition of excellence every day. We love to have visitors at Centerville Elementary where WE ARE MUSTANGS WITH MUSTANG PRIDE! Come check us out!
