“Thank you all for a wonderful start to our school year. We are so appreciative of all the work it takes for you to send your students to school ready to learn each day. A new procedure will be implemented on Monday, August 28, 2017. Parents will no longer be allowed to walk students down to class. We want to insure the safety of all students, as well as build independence in our students.
· Parents may drop students off at the car ramp as usual.
· For parents that usually park and walk in, you may continue to do so and enter through the front doors, then say goodbye to your child in the front lobby area near the cafeteria.
· Staff members and students on Safety Patrol will be in the hallways directing students to class and assisting them with any needs they have.
I assure you that all students will arrive to class safely. We will be talking to our students about this and I am asking that you do the same. Thank you so much for all that you do to make Centerville Elementary the very best elementary school in Houston County.”
