Mrs. Shaw has been at Centerville Elementary School since 1991. She has taught kindergarten, first, second, fourth, and fifth grade. She was the instructional coach for two years before being named assistant principal for instruction. Mrs. Shaw was recognized as the CES Teacher of the Year and county-wide top 10 finalist in 2004.  She is a proud product of the Houston County School District, where she attended Bonaire Elementary, Warner Robins Middle School, and Warner Robins High School. She received her bachelor's degree in early childhood education from the University of Georgia as well as her master's degree. Mrs. Shaw and her husband have had the privilege of raising 4 boys and now have a beautiful granddaughter.
