I am a school librarian, but have also been a technology teacher and taught first and second grade. I have a bachelor's and master's degree in Early Childhood from The University of Georgia. I have a specialist degree in Instructional Technology from Valdosta State University. I also have a reading endorsement from Georgia Southwestern and a media certification from Georgia College.
The media center is a dynamic, integral part of the school that constantly challenges me. I enjoy stocking the library full of books that kids love to read, and introducing them to authors that are influencing children's literature. Connecting reading and technology is also part of the library's mission. Book Fairs, the Academic Bowl, and the Spelling Bee are other fun, engaging events.
