Centerville Elementary is home of the Mustangs, and every day we work hard to show our Mustang Pride. We believe all students are capable of learning and growing to be contributing members of society. Building relationships with our staff, students and parents is extremely important to us. In order to do this, we strive to be better than we were the day before.
I am a graduate of McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia. In 2000, I graduated from Fort Valley State University with a B.S. Ed in Early Childhood, and began teaching at Miller Elementary. I transferred to Russell Elementary in 2004 and then came to Centerville Elementary in 2010 as the Assistant Principal for Instruction. I received my M.Ed in Reading and Writing from Walden University and my ED.S. in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University. In June of 2017, I was honored to be named the Principal here at this amazing school.
I am married to David Bowden and together we have 5 children (three are married) and 6 grandchildren. When I’m not at school, I enjoying spending time with my family or in the audience of a great musical.
