After graduating from Georgia Southern University in 1997, I began my teaching career in Bibb county.  In 2oo1, I began teaching at Centerville Elementary where I have been for 22 years.  I continued my education and received a Master's degree from Georgia College and a Specialist degree from Georgia Southwestern. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades as a general education teacher.  I am currently the reading EIP teacher.  Teaching children to read is my passion, and I truly love what I do.  I have been married to my husband Jonathan for twenty-four years, and we have have two children.  Ashleigh is a freshman at UGA, and Jon David is a sophomore at Veterans.
