After graduating from Georgia Southern University in 1997, I began my teaching career in Bibb county.  In 2oo1, I began teaching at Centerville Elementary where I have been for 25 years.  I continued my education and received a Master's degree from Georgia College and a Specialist degree from Georgia Southwestern. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades as a general education teacher.  I am currently the reading EIP teacher.  Teaching children to read is my passion, and I truly love what I do.  I have been married to my husband Jonathan for twenty-seven years, and we have have two children.  Ashleigh graduated from UGA in the spring and is currently applying to medical school, and Jon David is currently living in Miami selling life insurance..
